Hooked & Trying started with crochet, but somewhere along the way it became about a whole lot more.

After years of corporate burnout, I found myself coming back to making things. Crochet gave my hands something to do and my brain somewhere quieter to go. Then came plants, drawing, designing, experimenting, learning new skills, making questionable creative decisions, and occasionally landing on something I actually loved.

This shop grew out of all of that.

It’s a place for people who find comfort in creating, nesting, growing, laughing, and trying again. Everything here is something I designed because it made me smile or reminded me not to take any of this quite so seriously.

There’s no grand philosophy that says you need to have your life figured out before you start. Quite the opposite, actually.

We’re all just hooked on something and trying our best.
